Elephas can’t control app error - Automation
Enabling automation permission
1. Manually Reset Privacy Database (TCC) for Elephas
Sometimes macOS gets “stuck” and doesn’t show the automation request. Try resetting the automation permissions for Elephas via Terminal:
tccutil reset AppleEvents com.kamban.elephas
See image. Then relaunch Elephas and try the same action again (that triggers Safari integration). It should now prompt for permission.
2. Ensure Accessibility is Enabled
Go to:
System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility
Make sure Elephas is listed and enabled (toggle ON). This is required for automation to work properly.
3. Automation Settings Will Appear After You Allow
Once macOS prompts and you click “Allow,” Elephas will appear under Automation like this:
System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation
Elephas → APP_NAME (should be checked ✅)
If you’re still not getting a prompt after the reset and retry:
- Reboot your Mac
- Delete and reinstall Elephas
