Troubleshooting

Pages files aren't indexing

  1. Check file access — Ensure Elephas has permission to read your files
  1. Verify file format — Make sure files have the .pages extension
  1. Grant automation permission — If prompted, allow Elephas to access Pages app

Getting empty results

  • Some Pages files with only images won't have indexable text
  • Try opening the file in Pages to verify it contains text content

Permission prompts

On first use, macOS may ask you to grant Elephas permission to access your files or the Pages app. Click "Allow" to enable full functionality.
