Where does Elephas store uploaded information?
When you upload data to Super Brain, it involves a two-step process:
- Generating vectors
- Storing vectors
For generating vectors, Elephas AI backend internally uses OpenAI. OpenAI doesn't use your data to train their models and deletes your data after 30 days (they retain it briefly for regulatory reasons).
Elephas stores the resulting data on your local computer. iCloud sync is enabled by default, but you can disable it under General → Preferences.
100% offline mode
You can use Elephas Super Brain 100% offline, without any data leaving your computer.

Does Elephas use the information on my account to train its models?
No. When you use Elephas AI models, Elephas internally uses the OpenAI API. OpenAI doesn't use this data to train their models. They only keep the data for 30 days for regulatory purposes.
