Capture Notes from All Your Apps
Capture information from all of your apps
Elephas, a true second brain app, lets you add information from almost any app. You can quickly capture interesting or useful text without worrying about organizing it — Elephas does the heavy lifting inside your Super Brains. For example, when you're reading an article on the web and find something you want to remember, you can send that text directly into a Super Brain in a couple of keystrokes.
Step 1: Select the Text
- Select the text you want to save from any app (browser, Mail, Messages, etc.).

Step 2: Open Super Command and Choose “Add to…”
- Open Super Command with Ctrl + Space.
- You can also use the floating Elephas icon and choose the “Add to…” option.
- Start typing “Add to” — Elephas will show all your available brains.

Step 3: Pick a Super Brain
- From the list, select a brain under the “Super Brain” category and press Enter.

Elephas automatically adds the document title together with the selected text, making it easier to search and reference later.
The captured content is stored in that brain under the Notes source type and becomes part of its Knowledge Base.
Note: You can capture content from any app where the text is selectable — including Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, Outlook, browsers, and more.
Notes in Super Brain
- In the Knowledge Base, look under Connected Sources and click Notes Captured to see all the notes you’ve saved — here you can also see when each note was captured (month/year) and which app it came from.

Chat with your Notes
- Now, you can just ask the question without worrying about the structure of your notes, Elephas will give you perfect answer and also show the references of the captured information.

- Click the file names shown below to see the references Elephas has used

If you collect a lot of information, it would make sense to have a dedicated brain for Notes alone. i.e Do not add any files to that brain.
