Chat with Your Super Brain (iOS)
Have conversations with your personal knowledge base
What is Chatting with Your Brain?
Once you’ve added content to your Super Brain, you can begin chatting with it just like you would with any AI assistant — but with one major difference:
Your Brain answers using your own data, not random internet information.
Whether you’ve added PDFs, study material, articles, or personal notes, your Brain becomes an intelligent, context-aware assistant built entirely from your knowledge.
How It Works
Each Super Brain keeps its own indexed content and its own chat history.
This means you can ask questions knowing the responses will be grounded only in the content inside that specific Brain.
Your Brain uses:
- Your uploaded files
- Your saved web pages
- Your notes and pasted text
This ensures precise, relevant answers based on what you've actually added. If information isn't in your data, your Brain will clearly say so — it won't guess or make things up.
Starting a Conversation
- Open the Super Brain tab in Elephas.

- Tap the Brain card you want to chat with.

- Go to the Chats tab.

- Tap ➕ New Chat or open an existing chat.

- Ask your first question in natural language:

Example questions:
- “Summarize all the key points from the Q3 report.”
- “What deadlines did I mention in the project notes?”
- “Give me action items from all meeting summaries.”
Elephas will respond using only the indexed content inside that Brain.
Maintaining Conversation Context
Each chat keeps its own context, allowing you to build on previous answers naturally.
Example conversation flow:
You: "Summarize the research article"
Brain: [Provides summary]
You: "List the main challenges from that summary"
Brain: [Extracts challenges]
You: "Rewrite those challenges in simpler language"
Brain: [Simplifies the points]
Your Brain understands the flow because questions remain within the same chat window.
When Your Brain Can't Find Information
If your Brain says it couldn't find the answer, this typically means:
- The information hasn't been indexed yet
- Your question may be too broad or vague
- The relevant document might need to be re-indexed
- You may be chatting in the wrong Brain
This is actually a good sign — it means Elephas is being honest and staying grounded in your actual content rather than making assumptions.
Troubleshooting Chat Issues
- Generic answers?
→ Add more documents or refine your question.
- Answer seems incomplete?
→ The Brain may not have enough related content yet.
- Wrong Brain?
→ Check that you’re asking inside the correct Brain’s chat tab.
- Content missing?
→ Check the Files tab to confirm indexing was successful.
