Step 1: Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you’ve got everything ready to go.

Step 2: Add Azure OpenAI to Elephas

  1. Open Elephas Preferences
  1. Navigate to AI Providers tab
    1. Notion image
  1. Select Azure OpenAI
    1. Notion image
  1. Click the βš™οΈ gear icon beside Azure OpenAI
    1. Notion image
  1. Enter:
      • Resource URL β†’ your Azure OpenAI endpoint
      • API Key β†’ the key obtained in Step 1

Once verified, Elephas will automatically load all models deployed under your Azure OpenAI resource.

  1. From the list of available models, select the ones you wish to use.
  1. Click Save.

Your selected models are now integrated into Elephas and ready to be used across all features.

Step 3: Start Using Azure OpenAI in Elephas

After saving, you can use your Azure models in:

  • Super Chat – for real-time AI conversations using your Azure-hosted models
  • Brain Indexing – to power searches and responses with Azure AI
  • Model Settings – to assign specific models for features like summarization, writing, or workflows

Troubleshooting

If your models are not appearing:

  • Double-check your endpoint URL and API key
  • Ensure your model is deployed and active in Azure OpenAI
  • Reopen Elephas β†’ Preferences β†’ AI Providers β†’ AzureOpenAI β†’ βš™οΈ β†’ Verify again
